Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP)
- Provide temporary accommodation for GARs identified by CIC for up to 10 days
- Provide Information on general housekeeping and use of bathroom facilities, laundry and kitchen appliances
- Make arrangements for laundry facilities or provide laundry facilities
Within Five Days of Arrival
- Assist the head of family to apply for Social Insurance Number
- Assist the head of family to open a bank account
- Assist the head of family to complete a Child Tax Credit Application
- Provide assistance to complete an application for an Ontario Health Card
- Provide assistance to complete Bell Canada application form
- Provide assistance to complete a rental application form
- Provide Resettlement Assistance Orientation
- Assist client in finding permanent accommodation
- Order furniture
- Arrange transportation and moving to permanent accommodation
